Geddy Lee Announces New U.S. Book Tour Dates

Rush In Concert At The MGM Grand In Las Vegas

Rush's Geddy Lee is getting back on the road this month, but instead of touring arenas, he'll be touring book stores, and instead of towing his bass in his luggage, he'll be lugging around copies of his new book (which is about the bass).

Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass continues to sell well as the legendary Rush front man promotes it with interviews, signings and fan Q&A sessions around the world.

The first stop on this upcoming tour will be a Q&A Sunday, July 14, in Nashville. Lee will then make stops in St. Louis, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia, before concluding the trip on July 20 in Atlanta. (A noted baseball fanatic, it's probably no coincidence that all but one of Lee's tour stops correspond with local MLB games in those cities.)

Lee's book is both a history of and love letter to the bass guitar. Its 408 pages include gorgeous photos of historic, rare and unusual instruments, as well as anecdotes from Lee's time with Rush and interviews with legendary musicians, like Les Claypool (Primus), Adam Clayton (U2), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne, Uriah Heep, Gary Moore), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Robert Trujillo (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Suicidal Tendencies), Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) and Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones).
