YUNGBLUD Releases Vulnerable Sophomore Album 'Weird!'

After pushing it back three weeks, YUNGBLUD's sophomore album Weird! has finally arrived on Friday (December 4)!

The new collection of songs are both deeply personal and also tributes to the English rocker's devoted fanbase. The day before its release (December 3), Dom shared a thoughtful video message with fans, dubbed over behind-the-scenes looks at the recording process.

"As weird drops in a couple hours and we start the next chapter together i wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how much i love you all. this album is yours now. thankyou [sic] for every minute," he wrote in the caption. "i hope this album stays with you for for the rest of your lives for your stories, your faces, your defiance, your passion, your colours and your flags will stay with me for the the rest of mine. embrace the strange. be proud to be who you are. be proud to be weird"

Weird! features a variety of songs from the loud, raucous guitar-heavy tracks he's released as singles to the stripped back “love song” — which may be the track about his very public relationship (and breakup) with Halsey that he previously opened up about.

Fans can also hear influences of Lady Gaga and Queen throughout the album in songs like “the freak show.” As always, Dom gives a nod to his fanbase who heavily influenced the songs on Weird! and he's shared their stories within the lyrics to many of the tracks.

Dom shared a handful of tracks off the album before it's release — "Mars,""Strawberry Lipstick," "God Save Me But Don't Drown Me Out,"and the title track; however, fans who attended YUNGBLUD's virtual tour were treated to a few more new songs before the rest of the world.
