This year’s TaxSlayer Gator Bowl will be the second ever meeting between these two teams with their last meeting coming in the regular season 1973. #19 Virginia will serve as the visiting team, and this will be their third appearance in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Virginia finished the season at 10-3. Missouri will participate as the home team and made their last appearance in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on December 28,1968, where they beat Alabama 30-0. Missouri finished the season 8-4 and this will be their fourth appearance in the game.
