Things Go Very Wrong In The Strokes' New ‘Bad Decisions’ Video

Earlier this month, The Strokes announced their first album in seven years and gave fans their first single, “At The Door.”

On Tuesday (February 18), The Strokes dropped their next song, “Bad Decisions,” along with a 70s-inspired video to accompany the new track.

“Oh, makin' bad decisions/ Oh, makin' bad decisions/ Making bad decisions for you/ Oh, makin' bad decisions/ Uh-oh, makin' bad decisions/ Makin' bad decisions for you” Julian Casablancas sings in the infectious song's chorus. And, if you happen to start singing Billy Idol's “Dancing With Myself,” that was no mistake. Idol's iconic track is credited on the song.

To mirror the lyrics, the band's video features the members in a 70s-inspired infomercial selling a button that creates instant clones of the band to spice up boring dinners or nights alone in the living room.

As the video progresses, the clones malfunction by exploding and melting in front of unsuspecting customers who are horrified by what they see. Check out the full video above!

“Bad Decisions” will be on the band's forthcoming album, The New Abnormal, arriving on April 10. If you want to hear these songs live, The Strokes announced a limited three-date run in North America set for March.

The band will perform March 5 at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, March 9 at WaMu Theater in Seattle, and March 14 at The Forum in Los Angeles. Special guests King Princess and Alvvays are set to join the band in Los Angeles, while the former will support the sets in Seattle and Vancouver.

During a show at the end of 2019, Casablancas confirmed the band had been “unfrozen” and was ready to release music for fans — thankfully they stuck to their promise!
