Florida Fin Fest 2022!!

The 2nd Annual Florida Fin Festival, a free, 2-day ocean conservation, education and music festival, Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18, at The Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach.

The event benefits OCEARCH at Jacksonville University, a nonprofit dedicated to research, education, and outreach to accelerate the ocean's return to balance.

John Oates from "Hall and Oates" and Moon Taxi will headline the music portion of the event, with support from regional favorites Honey Hounds, The Band Be Easy (performing a tribute to funk), The Ries Brothers, and more!

With an Education Village - presented by The Ocean Conservancy includes The Ocean Conservancy's Immersive Virtual Reality Experience from Sachamama exploring the Florida Springs, Rivers & Oceans, The Museum of Science & History - A mobile planetarium on the carbon cycle narrated by Liam Neeson, Jacksonville University - Live, interactive touch tanks, OCEARCH - Shark tagging trackers & lesson from one of the research scientists on the ship.

Including Educational Panels on Micro-plastics, Micro-fibers & Marine Debris, Water Quality (Implications & Solutions), Marine Science Conservation and Sea Level Rise & Adaptation. And conversations wit Dr. Al Dove - VP of Sustainability for the Georgia Aquarium and Dr. Quinton White - Executive Director of the Marine Science Research Institute

No single-use plastics will be used at the event, all water, beer & seltzer is 100% recyclable aluminum cans. The Vendor Village is powered by Solar Generators from GENEVERSE and 1 of 3 Flagship locations for The Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup happening in the morning before each event
