October 30, 2025 – Kingston, Jamaica — Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica as a Category 5 storm, causing widespread destruction across the island. It damaged homes, flooded agricultural regions, knocked out power for most residents, and led to multiple fatalities. Recovery efforts are underway, but the humanitarian and economic toll is immense.

The Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International, is working closely with local government agencies, partners, and on-the-ground teams to assess conditions and mobilize resources. With a commitment to transparency and impact, the Foundation has pledged that 100% of every dollar donated will go directly toward emergency response efforts.
