It's a cold morning across much of Florida. In fact, a new record has been set in Tampa.
The National Weather Service had Cold Weather Advisories, Freeze Watches and Freeze Warnings in effect across most of the state.
Temperatures are reaching below freezing in some areas
A freeze warning is in effect for North Florida and inland north Central Florida through Tuesday morning, with low temperatures falling to the upper 20s and lower 30s and wind chills dipping below 20 degrees, according to National Weather Service. A freeze watch will be in effect tonight for the Panhandle from 6 p.m. CT until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
One South Florida resident posted on X, "It is 49.1F at my house and still dropping!! This is unacceptable."
Highs today may only be in the 50s. Another cold night could be in store, too.
