Florida Tax Holiday Information

Florida, it's that time of year again where select items are tax free before students head back to school. The tax free holiday runs from August 2nd through August 6th for several items including supplies such as pencils, notebooks and some computers in addition to some clothing items.

Key points to note are:

  • Clothing, footwear and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item
  • Certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item
  • Personal computers and certain computer-related accessories selling for $1,000 or less per item, when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.

While everything isn't tax free, you'll still save a good chunk of money by purchasing during the tax holiday. Below are a list of items that will be exempt during the period.
