How many times have you been to the grocery store since you were told to self distance yourself? You have to go grocery shopping. So how can you safely do it?
The Center for Public Health Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania is offering some tips...
First they said to plan ahead. Don't wait until you are completely out of something to go shopping, because you know people are snagging up all the toilet paper first thing!
If the store looks crowded, try coming back at a different time...like when the store opens in the morning.
Make a list so you're in and out of the store and not handing out in the aisles too long.
Many stores do provide wipes, but bring your own disinfecting wipes to the store to clean shopping carts.
Many stores also offer you the chance to order your groceries ahead of time and pick them up.
Finally, don't go that often, shop when you need to and efficiently. And when you get home, wash your hands, take off your shoes and take a shower.
