Can you imagine that after 36 years, crews just found a piece of the Space Shuttle Challenger in the ocean!
History Channel crews were off the coast of Florida, filming a new documentary series called "The Bermuda Triangle: Into Cursed Waters". They were searching for World War II ships lost at sea and came across something much different!
During their search, they discovered a 20 foot long piece of debris from the Space Shuttle Challenger. NASA has confirmed it is a indeed part of the Shuttle.
This is the first discovery of Challenger debris in more than 25 years. The History Channel documentary will air the footage of the find when the series premieres on Nov. 22.
Of course, as you know, The Space Shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after takeoff in 1986, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, killing all 7 aboard. A National tragedy.
