Some good news! According to GasBuddy, gas prices could drop below $3 by Christmas. If you plan on traveling this holiday season, here are some tips to make the trip a little more smoother for you.
-Plan for changes along route. If you’re driving, plan out an alternate route in case of bad weather, closures or accidents. Flying, then have an idea of what other flights or airlines may be available and even check out the rental car services at the airport in case driving may be quicker that waiting on a cancelled flight or long delays.
-Try not to pack too much into your itinerary. Make your trip simple and relaxing and don’t give yourself too much to do.
-Keep snacks and water with you. You don’t want to become “hangry” and staying hydrated helps to improve mood and energy levels. I usually always pack a granola or energy bar when traveling and then purchase bottled water at the airport after going through security.
-Rest up! Your sleep schedule could be all over the place with traveling, time changes etc.
