Florida's Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday starts Saturday May 27th and extends through Friday, June 9. There will be another exemption period from Aug. 26 and extend through Sept. 8.
During the holiday, you can purchase items like paper products as in toilet paper, paper towels, paper napkins and soap- laundry detergent, ahnd and body. Many cleaning or disinfecting wipes and sprays, hand sanitizer, and even dog or cat food, all without a sales tax.
The sales tax holiday even applies to items like portable generators.
