Thousands of fans converging on Ft. Lauderdale beach to cheer on the Florida Panthers during their victory parade. The team then hit the stage to give speeches after winning their second Stanley Cup. It's estimated the parade will cost upwards of $2 million. The hockey team pays about 90% which is the set up and the City of Fort Lauderdale says it will pay around $200,000 to maintain police and fire crews around the parade route.
The 2024 parade drew more than 200,000 people, who cheered the team through the rain and lightning. Sunday's parade saw mostly sunny skies and temps in the upper 80's.
